2018年3月6日，中心研究人员梁益坚老师、赵贤老师受邀赴北京参加外交部“中非联合研究交流计划指导委员会扩大会议”。中非合作论坛中方后续行动委员会秘书长、中非联合研究交流计划指导委员会主任、外交部非洲司司长戴兵主持会议，他介绍了当前非洲形势和中非关系，通报总结了交流计划2017年度项目执行情况对2018年实施方案进行了部署。外交部亚非司负责人、中非联合研究交流计划指导委员会成员单位和30家国内涉非研究机构负责人、专家学者共约60人出席。

中心在2017年度共承担2个项目。项目完成后，经过专家评审和非洲司审核，以1项良好、1项合格的成绩顺利结项。
