云南大学举办“中非生态学学科发展与教学交流国际研讨会”

6月19日,“中非生态学学科发展与教学交流国际研讨会”在云南大学东陆校区科学馆隆重举行。此次会议由云南大学主办,云南大学中国-南非人文交流研究中心、云南大学国际合作与交流处、云南大学生态学与环境学院、云南大学国际河流与生态安全研究院共同承办。来自非洲埃塞俄比亚、肯尼亚、南非、坦桑尼亚主要大学、科研机构和中国中科院、中科院大学、北京大学、华东师范大学、云南大学等研究机构、高校在生态与环境研究领域的数十名专家学者出席会议。


云南大学副校长张力教授、云南大学非洲研究中心主任张永宏教授、云南大学生态学与环境学院院长李庆军教授在研讨会开幕式上分别致辞。云南大学国际河流与生态安全研究院院长胡金明教授主持开幕式。




中国科学院大学副校长王艳芬教授、南非开普敦大学环境和地理科学系Michael Meadows教授、中国科学院城市与区域生态国家重点实验室主任陈利顶研究员、中国科学院植物研究所韩兴国研究员、纳尔逊曼德拉大学Peter B. Myles教授、云南大学生态学与环境学院院长李庆军教授先后做主题发言,报告题目依次是:《中国科学院大学生态学教育与实践》《向过去学习:人类纪的古生态观》《中国景观生态学研究》《旱地生态学研究》《海洋空间规划对海洋生态学的贡献》和《云南大学高原山地生态与地球环境学科群介绍》。



随后,来自中国和非洲的28名专家、学者就中非生态学教育合作、生态学综合研究、生态保护方法与政策等主题在三个分会场进行专题研讨,深入交流。



云南大学国际河流与生态安全研究院院长胡金明教授主持会议闭幕式,三个分会场的主持人亚的斯亚贝巴大学政治科学与国际关系学院Kassahun Berhanu Alemu教授、南非开普敦大学环境和地理科学系Michael Meadows教授、云南大学生态学与环境学院副院长张志明副教授分别报告三个分会场的研讨情况,中国科学院植物研究所韩兴国研究员做会议总结。韩兴国研究员对此次研讨会给予了高度评价,认为此举将对增进中非友谊、对中非生态学学科的共同发展和教学交流起到积极而重要的推动作用。




6月20日,与会中非专家、学者前往云南轿子山国家级自然保护区开展野外实地考察。



今年是中国和南非建交20周年,今年9月中非合作论坛峰会将在北京举行。中非从来都是命运共同体,中非合作是南南合作的典范和样板。北京峰会将把中国发展同非洲发展更加紧密地联系起来,把“一带一路”倡议、联合国2030年可持续发展议程、非盟《2063年议程》和非洲各国发展战略更加紧密地结合起来,拉开中非携手共建“一带一路”的新篇章,推动中非合作共赢、共同发展走向更加协调、均衡、可持续,并引领带动南南合作新发展。云南是中国生态多样性、文化多样性最为丰富的地区,蕴藏着丰富的人文交流资源;生态学、民族学是云南大学的传统优势学科,在“双一流”建设进程中展现出蓬勃生机。此次研讨会是云南大学为配合纪念中南建交20周年、迎接中非合作论坛峰会在北京召开而举办的一项配套活动,也是云南大学结合云南优势和自身优势、积极推动中非人文交流的一次尝试。


Yunnan University Held the China-Africa Seminar on the Development and Education of Ecological Science

On June 19, 2018, the China-Africa Seminar on the Development and Education of Ecological Science was held at the science museum of Donglu Campus of Yunnan university. The conference is sponsored by Yunnan university; organized by Research Center for China -South Africa People to People Exchanges of Yunnan university, and co-organized by Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges of Yunnan university, School of Ecology and Environmental Science of Yunnan University, Institute of International Rivers and Eco-Security of Yunnan University.

Dozens of experts and scholars from key universities and research institutes in Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa and Tanzania and from Chinese Academy of sciences, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing university, East China Normal University, Yunnan University and other research institutions, universities in the field of ecological and environmental research attended the meeting.

Professor Hu Jinming, dean of Institute of International Rivers and Eco-Security of Yunnan University, opened the seminar. Professor Zhang Li, vice president of Yunnan university, professor Zhang Yonghong, director of Yunnan University center of African Studies, and professor Li Qingjun, dean of School of Ecology and Environmental Science of Yunnan University delivered speeches at the opening ceremony respectively.

Professor Wang Yanfen, vice president of University of Chinese Academy of sciences; Michael Meadows, professor of the Environment and Geography Department of the University of Cape Town; Chen Liding, director of the National Key Laboratory of Urban and Regional Ecology of Chinese Academy of sciences; Han Xingguo, researcher of the Institute of Botany of Chinese Academy of sciences; Peter b. Myles, professor of Nelson Mandela university and professor Li Qingjun, dean of the School of Ecology and Environmental Science of Yunnan University, delivered keynote speeches successively. The topics of the report are in sequence: Ecology Education and Practice of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Learning from the Past: Ancient Ecological View of the Anthropocene, Research on Chinese Landscape Ecology, Study on Dry Land Ecology, Contribution of Ocean Space Planning to Marine Ecology, and Introduction to the Science Group of Plateau Mountain Ecology and Earth Environment of Yunnan University.

A total of 28 experts and scholars from China and Africa have conducted in-depth exchanges on such topics as ecological education cooperation, comprehensive ecological research, ecological protection methods and policies in central Africa.

Professor Hu Jinming, president of the Institute of International Rivers and Eco-Security of Yunnan University, presided over the closing ceremony of the forum. The chairpersons of the three sub-meetings are professor Kasshun Berhanu Alemu, School of Political Science and International Relations of the University of Addis Ababa, Michael Meadows, professor of the Environment and Geography Department of the University of Cape Town, Associate professor Zhang Zhiming, vice president of School of Ecology and Environmental Science of Yunnan University, reported on the discussions at the three sub-meetings. Han Xingguo, researcher of the Institute of Botany of Chinese Academy of sciences, made a summary of the meeting. He said that the seminar will play a positive and important role in promoting Sino-African friendship, the common development of ecology and the exchange of teaching and learning between China and Africa.

On June 20, 2018, Chinese and African experts and scholars went to Yunnan's Jiaozi mountain national nature reserve for a field trip.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Africa. This September, the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation will be held in Beijing. China and Africa have always been a community of common destiny. China-Africa cooperation is a model of South-South cooperation. The Beijing summit will link China's development to African development more closely, linking the "the Belt and Road" initiative, “UN 2030 agenda for sustainable development” and the “AU agenda 2063” and Closely integrate with African development strategies. We will open a new chapter in Sino-African cooperation to build "the Belt and Road", promote a win-win cooperation between China and Africa and move towards a more coordinated, balanced and sustainable development, and lead to a new development of South-South cooperation. Yunnan is the region with the most ecological and cultural diversity in China, and it is rich in cultural exchange resources. Ecology and ethnology are the traditional preponderant subjects of Yunnan University, which have shown great vitality in the process of "double first-class" construction. This seminar is a supporting event held by Yunnan University to mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Africa and to welcome the convening of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Beijing. It is also an attempt by Yunnan university to promote the cultural exchanges between China and Africa by combining the advantages of Yunnan with its own advantages.
