9月28至30日，云南大学非洲研究中心一行六人在王涛副教授带队下，赴山西临汾，出席由中国非洲史研究会主办，山西师范大学历史与旅游文化学院和山西师范大学北非城市研究所承办的“中国非洲史研究会2018年年会暨‘一带一路’与非洲城市化”学术会议。来自中国社会科学院、国际关系学院、北京社会科学院、北京大学、武汉大学、西北大学、中央民族大学、湘潭大学、云南大学等30多个学术机构和高校的专家学者70余人与会。

会议期间，王涛副教授做了题为“日本对1935-1936年意埃冲突的外交政策演变”的发言。硕士生程实做了有关费尔斯通公司在利比里亚投资历史的发言。

29-30, September, associate professor Wang Tao and five masters of CASYNU went to Linfen attending “The Annual Meeting of Chinese Society of African Historical Studies” and “The Meeting of ‘The Belt and Road Initiative’ and Urbanization in Africa”. At the meeting, Wang Tao made a speech of “The Japan's Foreign Policy Evolution about the Conflict between Italy and Ethiopia during 1935-1936”. Chen Shi made a speech about Firestone investment in Liberia.
