12月3日中南高级别人文交流机制第二次会议在钓鱼台国宾馆举行。国务院副总理、中南高级别人文交流机制中方主席孙春兰和南非艺术与文化部部长、机制南方主席姆特特瓦共同主持中南高级别人文交流机制第二次会议。

　　孙春兰说，中南两国是好朋友、好兄弟、好伙伴。习近平主席和拉马福萨总统高度重视人文交流在传承和弘扬中南友好中的作用，亲自推动各领域交流合作。中南高级别人文交流机制启动一年多来，双方围绕庆祝两国建交20周年，各领域合作成果丰硕，实现了“开门红”，为两国关系发展持续注入新能量。

　　孙春兰强调，当前，中南关系正站在新的历史起点上。双方应落实好两国元首互访重要成果，拉紧人文交流纽带，坚持以人民为中心，加强留学往来和语言互通，推进矿产、林业等联合研究中心建设，加强文化创意产业和文化遗产保护合作，深化传统医药、公共卫生、健康管理等合作，促进媒体、体育、旅游、青年、妇女、智库、地方、档案等领域合作不断深入，让人文交流成果更多更好造福普通民众，携手开创中南友好的新时代。

姆特特瓦说，近年来南中关系不断巩固发展，已超越双边关系范畴。双方应发挥人文交流机制作用，深化各领域务实合作，为深化两国全面战略伙伴关系奠定社会基础。

应教育部邀请，刘晓江副校长、张永宏教授出席中南高级别人文交流机制第二次会议。

云南大学中国-南非人文交流研究中心是教育部设立的中外人文交流智库之一，2017年3月成立以来，积极服务中南高级别人文交流机制，完成了十多项教育部下达的任务。

The second meeting of China-South Africa high-level people-to-people exchange mechanism was held at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse on December 3. Sun Chunlan, vice premier of the State Council and chairman of the China-South Africa High-level people-to-people Exchange Mechanism, and Nathi Mthethwa , South African Minister of Arts and Culture and Chairman of the South Africa Mechanism, co-chaired the second meeting of the China-South Africa High-level people-to-people Exchange Mechanism.

Sun Chunlan said that China and South Africa are good friends, good brothers and good partners. President Xi Jinping and President Ramaphosa attached great importance to the role of people-to-people exchanges in carrying forward China-South Africa friendship and personally promoting exchanges and cooperation in various fields. Since the launch of the China-South Africa high-level people-to-people exchange mechanism more than a year ago, the two sides have celebrated the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Cooperation in various fields has achieved fruitful results, achieved a "good start", and continuously injected new energy into the development of bilateral relations.

Sun Chunlan stressed: at present, Sino-South African relations are standing at a new historical starting point. The two sides should implement the important achievements of the exchange of visits between the heads of state of the two countries, tighten the ties of people-to-people exchanges, adhere to the people-centered approach, strengthen exchanges between students studying abroad and languages, and promote the construction of joint research centers on minerals and forestry. We will strengthen cooperation in the protection of cultural and creative industries and cultural heritage, deepen cooperation in traditional medicine, public health, and health management, and promote in-depth cooperation in the media, sports, tourism, youth, women, think tanks, local governments, and archives. We will enable people-to-people exchanges to bring more and better benefits to the general public, and work together to usher in a new era of China-South Africa friendship.

Nathi Mthethwa said: in recent years, South African-Chinese relations have been continuously consolidated and developed, and have gone beyond the scope of bilateral relations. The two sides should play the role of a mechanism for people-to-people exchanges, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, and lay the social foundation for deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

At the invitation of the Ministry of Education, Vice President Liu Xiaojiang and Professor Zhang Yonghong attended the second meeting of the China-South Africa High-level people-to-people Exchange Mechanism.

The China-South Africa Research Center for people-to-people exchanges of Yunnan University is one of the think tanks for people-to-people exchanges between China and South Africa set up by the Ministry of Education.
